Biographie/Biography

Christine Beaudoin est doctorante en sociologie à l'Université d'Ottawa et a obtenu une maîtrise en anthropologie. Ses recherches se concentrent sur les interactions entre les humains et leur environnement, en mettant l'accent sur l'inclusion des non-humains dans la recherche en sciences sociales. Elle adopte une approche relationnelle pour comprendre comment les relations entre les différents acteurs façonnent les systèmes socio-écologiques. Sa thèse de doctorat mobilise les outils d'analyse des réseaux socio-écologiques pour mieux comprendre la collaboration entre les scientifiques, les acteurs et les non-humains. Elle travaille également sur la gouvernance des cours d'eau historiques en Ontario. Christine est membre du HumAnimaLab, un groupe de recherche sur l'Anthropocène basé à l'Université d'Ottawa. Elle est co-fondatrice de Biotown et a été membre du conseil d'administration de 2016 à 2019.

Christine Beaudoin is a PhD student in sociology at the University of Ottawa and has completed a masters in anthropology. Her research focuses on interactions between humans and their environment, with an emphasis on including non-humans in social science research. She takes a relational approach to understand how relationships between different actors shape social-ecological systems. Her PhD thesis mobilizes the tools of social-ecological network analysis to better understand collaboration between scientists, stakeholders and non-humans. She also does some work on the governance of historical waterways in Ontario. Christine is a member of the HumAnimaLab, a research group on the Anthropocene based at the University of Ottawa. She is a co-founder of Biotown and was on the board of directors from 2016 to 2019.
